Brighter Kerry is a Renewable Energy Community, not a company sending profit elsewhere. Every euro of surplus is awarded to charities and community groups in Kerry.

Energy made close to home, controlled by the people who live there.
Rather than power coming from a distant plant, a community energy project generates it locally, from sun, wind, or water, so the area it serves keeps the say, the savings, and the benefit. That’s the model Brighter Kerry is built on, just applied at solar-farm scale instead of a single rooftop.
Investment from anywhere.
Votes from Kerry.
Investment is open to individuals and SMEs from anywhere in Ireland, but voting control stays with Kerry-based shareholders. Structured as a DAC with voting rights restricted to the county, decisions about the project, and where its profit goes, are made by the community it’s built for, not by outside capital.
€3M+ projected, direct to Kerry charities.
Once debt is serviced, the project is run, and investors receive their targeted returns, 100% of surplus operating profit flows into a permanent community fund for the farm’s full 25-year life. Local Kerry shareholders vote democratically on where it goes: sports clubs, youth initiatives, and community infrastructure across the county. The project runs as lean as possible on purpose, so as much profit as possible is available for it.

Hold shares, and you’re a member.
This isn’t a passive stake in a company you’ll never hear from again. Holding shares makes you part of the community that decides how the project’s surplus is spent, alongside powering roughly 1,800 homes with clean, locally generated electricity.
